I started as a freelancer 7 years ago and during the early days itself, it was quite clear to me that without good writing and search engine knowledge, you cannot cut it in the digital fold. A couple of mentors in the early days helped me understand great quality content with SEO and its importance to help rank a website.
During my early freelancing days, the scope was quite wide and I tried to gauge my writing as per the project with my own flavor to it. However, after giving up on freelancing and trying to make a career in the corporate world, I realized that you could no longer express your words or your ideas as you conceive them. You must tailor them as per the needs of your clients and ensure that they are happy.
